When you upload photos to flickr you have to make sure that the EXIF location data import is enabled in your user profile. Unfortunately this is disabled by default. You can enable the EXIF location data import by completing the following steps:

1. Log in to your flickr account
2. Open the menu "You" and select "Your account"
    
3. Select "Privacy & Permissions"
    
4. Edit the "Import EXIF location data" setting according to your needs
