How to configure Norton 360 to work with PhotoSync?
PhotoSync should run automatically with Norton 360. PhotoSync services are not blocked by Norton in the default configuration. If PhotoSync is not working, please check if the following settings are available and enabled:
- Open the Norton 360 application window. To change/view the firewall settings, please select "Settings" in the topmost toolbar and then "Firewall" in the Detailed Settings area.
- In the firewall settings select "Program Rules" to view the available firewall rules for your applications.
- For PhotoSync to work, there should be an entry "Bonjour Service" that points to the Apple Bonjour Services (usually installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe) and to the PhotoSync app (usually installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\PhotoSync\PhotoSync.exe).
If these application rules have been added by Norton 360 automatically, the "Auto" access setting is totally fine. If one or both are not available, you have to create new application rules that contain the above Applications. If the "Auto" access setting is not available, just choose "Allow" which allows all transfer from and to these apps.
